I've been getting a lot of messages and questions concerning A Magic Within, so I'll address most of them here.  The book was written for my niece, who is 11, so it's directed more at a middle school age group.  I am so thrilled to hear that adults are loving it also.  So the age factor of the kids in the book are pre-teen which is why there is no love story.  There is, however, the potential for a love story later on, which brings me to the next question, that yes, A Magic Within is going to be a series.  So any unanswered questions or details you have from reading the book, if you felt certain things were incomplete, it's because it wasn't time to reveal that particular twist or secret yet. It's low key and no foul language or love scenes because of the age group that it was written for.  Feel free to ask me anything else that you're wondering about the book.  I love getting all of these questions and love that you're reading my new release! <3

I'm back from vacation.  The beach was amazing and I had a great time with friends and all of our munchkins.  It was probably one of the first times I actually didn't want to leave by the end of the week.  I didn't do any writing while there, but my mind is always going a mile a minute on the next project.  I hope to get two more books done this year.  Next up is something a little different for me.  I don't want to give away any surprises.  I gave my street team a little glimpse today.  It's not going to be paranormal or young adult.  I'm thinking late summer/early fall for release.

I'm working on getting everything ready for the Believe, Hope, Live convention.  If you haven't checked out what it's all about, it's a wonderful charity benefit.  I'll leave you with the link so you can look it over and hopefully attend too!

Cover Reveal Day!

Release Date is June 18, 2014

Normalcy. I need to get back to a state of normalcy. What’s happened to me? Why am I here in this orphanage, and why am I forbidden to leave? Everyone is so very cruel here. I can’t eat. I can’t sleep. It’s the paranoia getting to me. It’s like someone’s always watching, always listening. There’s a general fear around here, and for some reason, it seems fueled by my arrival, but why are they afraid of me? I didn’t ask for this. I don’t even know how I got here. I need to go home. My parents must be worried sick. There has to be someone here who can help me, who can give me answers and lead me in the right direction so I can get out of here. There is this one boy, Lydic. Could he be my key to getting out? I can see it in his eyes he feels sorry for me. He seems to know more than he’s letting on. These people aren’t like anyone I’ve ever met before.

Done!  It's finally done!  It's almost 2 a.m., and I just finished A Magic Within moments ago.  Wow.  I could've never imagined that book was headed in that direction when I started it.  I honestly had no idea where it would take me.  I think you're going to love it.  Guess you'll have to read it to find out!

Now ... time for edits, but first, bed.

A snippet from my current project...

If you're keeping up with me at the moment, I have a couple of projects going on right now.  I'm thinking 3 more books this year, if all goes well, possibly 4 if things go REALLY smooth, but you know how time goes.... too fast.

The project that is at the forefront right now is my very first paranormal adolescent book.  An idea seemed to literally smack me in the face today, so I'm rolling with it and about 5 chapters deep already.  Here's a little piece of it I put up on my FB page this morning.  As I said on there, keep in mind, it's totally unedited ...

Maybe I should redirect the conversation, get them to think about something other than me and whatever problem it seemed like I had created for everyone from my mere existence.  “So, how long have you guys been in this orphanage?”

“Orphanage?” the boy repeated, exchanging looks with his friends.

“All our lives,” the girl quickly said.

I looked down at my food.  They were lying.  I needed to ask them more questions.  “How many kids are here like us?”

“None like you,” the girl snapped.

“Cadence, ease up,” one of the boys said to her.

          “Nice to meet you, Cadence.”

“Thanks a lot, now she knows my name.”

“She’s going to be here awhile, we should make the best of it.”

“We were told to interact with her as little as possible, remember?”

I held up my hand.  “Hey, I’m here right beside you.  I’m able to hear you, you know.”

They all stared at me again.

I sighed.  “I didn’t ask to be here, you know.”

“Yeah, well, neither did we,” one of the boys stated.

          “What about Lydic?” I asked.

          “What about him?”

I swallowed the piece of food in my mouth and folded my hands in front of me on the table.  “Aren’t you friends with him?”

One of the boys made a snorting noise.

          “No?”  I raised my eyebrows.

Cadence narrowed her eyes at me.  I could’ve sworn there were flames within them, she hated me that much.  “We don’t want to talk about Lydic or you or anything to do with either one of you.”

“Yeah, you’re going to bring evil to all of us here.”

“Evil?  What are you talking about?  I’m not evil.”

Cadence rolled her eyes.  “You should’ve never been saved.  You should’ve been left in the woods to die!”

I know I haven't been blogging very much at all.  I am taking a little break after Evanescent and not writing as much, but I do have a few chapters of both Book 2 of The Sempiternal Series completed and also a few of the new adolescent paranormal, which I'm not quite sure which direction it's heading in yet.  I just haven't been as aggressive, but don't worry, I am thinking both of these books will be done at about the same time.

I need some book recommendations, so any you post for me would be greatly appreciated! <3  Enjoy your day!

Thank you to everyone who helped with the release day event.  It was truly successful as Evanescent broke the paid 100 mark and even got down to #13 in Dark Fantasy on Amazon.  It has been a lot of hard work getting the news spread of this book, and I couldn't have done it alone.

My new street team - you guys rock!!  I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of gals to joke around with and look forward to learning more about you all.

Paperbacks are being ordered.  If anyone wants one, just message me on facebook, website - wherever.  I'll get you one.

There are also 2 giveaways going on right now, a custom made Evanescent necklace for release day and a signed Evanescent paperback for the blog tour going on right now.  You can check those both out on my website:  www.saravzook.com

I seriously love being a writer.  <3 - Sara

What else?  What else?  I feel like I have so much going on!

It's almost time to release Evanescent, The Sempiternal Series Book 1 and here's a little teaser ...

COVER REVEAL SOON!

Wednesday, January 1, 2014

Another year is before me.  I was so happy to finish my first series, the Strange in Skin Trilogy, in 2012 and get 2 books out last year.  That trilogy's book tour is finishing up in the coming days, and I hope to wrap up the first book of the new series this month.

It's amazing to think I wrote Strange in Skin without thinking anyone would ever read it.  I'm so much more aware of the fact now that when I write, I'm writing for the book's audience, wanting them to be lured into the story and plot line and want more.

I'm hoping to have a cover reveal soon for everyone along with the book's title and series title.

Great things ahead - Happy New Year's my friends! :) Cheers!
